Ok so this is in response to Bountyhunterdav who have locked is forum post talking about the amount of rares in the boosters, so no direct reply is possible...
There was a complaint about not having a rare figure in every boosters he purchased recently, and he claimed to have had a rare in all of them before that... Well, I doubt that claim.
First, BEWARE, as there is not a rare in every boosters like there use to be back when Wizard of the Coast was selling them. There was 8 minis in those boosters, and now there is 4, so let's do the math real quick:
They decided now to cut the booster in two. So having a rare in every boosters would change the ratio of the so called rares, making them not so rare anymore.
Right now there would logically have a ratio of one rare by two boosters, but that is not a certitude obviously! Buying a brick (8 boosters sealed together) gives you more chance of having that ratio.
You might get lucky buying them one by one, but the opposite is also true like what happened to our friend Bountyhunterdav.
I've been buying boosters of all the sets now, and it is always the same. No need to be angry at Wizkids, Paizo is doing the same thing with Pathfinder and that, before even any set from IotR was on the market. So there is no surprises here, a lot of us knew it was this way since then.
