This was one of several Unique Treasures that I designed for Wizkids, and of them all, this is one I was most happy to see make it into the game.

Originally this was called "Wee Turtles!", in reference to an episode of The Simpsons where Groundskeeper Willy runs into a burning building yelling, "Save the wee turtles!" (it doesn't go well for him).

It was a little disappointing to see only one turtle token on the published card because every single coin on the card should have been one, hence the wording that tells you to add turtles to the one you find. It was clearly stated in the design notes, but somehow it got lost on the way to the art department.

At least they're easy enough to replace with colored beads or other small tokens, which is actually a good thing because then you don't have to worry about the UT tokens getting scratched up from being slid across the table.

I really wish this wasn't the case, having 9 turtle tokens on 1 card would have been so much better
