General description:
I don't think enough can be said about the super rare Flash. He is a solid hit and run fighter. Who can take out anybody if he is accompanied by a clix with outwit. He plays really well and most of the time my opponents just give up on trying to hit him. The best part is that he only coasts 83 points so he doesn't take up a lot of space in your team.

He is best used for ruining strategies. He can run in, damage or kill a supporting character and flee to safety behind a wall. He also loves to take out those pesky archers that like to stay out of the fray and the stealthy clix. Oh, and Flash loves running over Bystander tokens.

Strategies and game play:
I mentioned this earlier, but the key to using the Flash successfully is to keep him out of harms way. Run in, hit your designated target, an get to safety. Now he has a good bit of defense so he is sure to mess with your opponent's counter attacks.

Combos with other miniatures:
He works really well with the other members of the justice league. The common Batman from this set is great to outwit potential targets. I found using Plastic Man to shuttle the Flash into position to be of great use. Plus Plastic Man doubles as a wall for the Flash to hide behind while he is in Hindering terrain. Also, you might try perplexing up his damage so he can run in and do 3 damage.

Ways to counteract it:
The flash tops out at a mighty 2 damage so anyone with Impervious or the Invulnerability power are protected against him. He is not as good on open terrain as he is inside say the Bank or the Hall of Heroes.

Starts with Hypersonic Speed with 12 movement.
Starts with 10 attack.
A monstrous 18 defense with Energy Shield/Deflection which makes it 20 against range.
JLA team ability.
His dial is never terrible when he finally takes damage.
All of that in a nice inexpensive package of 83 points

Only 2 damage. Average 6 click life.

Artwork and aesthetics:
The sculpt is pretty good and the colors definitely scream the Flash. I like the dirt skids from him slowing down and his crazy hair is cool. I am not sure I like the random yellow triangle glued to him.

Overall rating:
Overall I give this super rare Flash a 9 out of 10. He is a really great heroclix that is awesome in limited and constructed.

When I was young, my best friend and I vowed to watch Flash Gordon every time it was on HBO that summer.

I'm pretty sure it was on two to three times a day, five to six days a week for a whole month that summer. We had almost all of it memorized.

Flash aahaah savior of the universe...

Good review, good song.
