General description:
The Jewel of the Sun, La Joya Del Sol is a interesting ship. Like the Darkhawk II it has 8 cargo but doesn't suffer slow down when it reaches full capacity.

Uses:
Treasure Runner. With S+S it can move pretty fast, but with a Helmsman it can move S+S+S.

Strategies and game play:
Grab treasure and run. With it's movement enhanced by a Helmsman it can avoid combat.

Combos with other miniatures:
Master Bianco-He takes up no cargo space but gives an Extra(So with a Helmsman and Master Bianco, you'll still have 8 cargo space)
Helmsman-To make La Joya Del Sol's movement S+S+S
Explorer-So you can leave an explore island in just 2 turns

Ways to counteract it:
Gunships, Foul Winds, Firepot Specialists, and False Treasure

Strengths/Pros:
8 Cargo, S+S Movement, +1 To Boarding Rolls, 4 Masts, Cheap for what it can do.

Weaknesses/Cons:
Weak Cannons(All 4s), Could have better Special Abillity.

Artwork and aesthetics:
Standard Artwork for a Spanish Ship

Overall rating:
9/10, 8 Cargo, S+S, and +1 to boarding rolls is pretty good for 12 points

Why not stock the ship with people that improve your boarding chances, like Castro's loyalists. And maybe the Inquisitor would like to join the fun and kill all of the opposing crew.

It seems like you covered the basics but some more options with the combos and such would be nice

It would've been more interesting to focus on her ability (boarding party) instead of remaining elementary. It's true as we were recently highlighting the fact on the forum that the boarding party basic rules are not enough worthwhile to maybe base the whole review on this matter (since this ship has other very good characteristics). Nevertheless, one cannot ignore it, hence importance of developing more about boarding party ability with advanced rules, which are likely essential in order to make boarding party more used and able to turn the tide of a game.
