General description:
Yet another 6 masted junk with awful movement however with a helmsman or two this ship can destroy most if not all British ships.

Uses:
This ship is very effective at fighting the English nationality in particular. If this ship is given a helmsman as well as a captain it can take down even the most powerfull ships in one turn. With six masts this ship is very effective at raming and boarding other ships.

Strategies and game play:
The best use for this ship is a gunship due to its poor movement, however it could be used for treasure running because the cargo is 4. If this ship is use for gunning and boarding then definatly use a full Crew, with another ship to back it up.

Combos with other miniatures:
My choice of Crew on the Grand Mountain would be firstly Katsura-Chan, Chan is worth six points But allows for re-rolls and And a captains ability Which makes it well Worth it. Secondly i would use Shap-'ng-Tsai because of the fact that he is linked to all Jade Rebellion Crew and when you roll a die and get a 5 or 6 you can do the same action twice plus you get an additional +1 to rolls against the english making any english ship an easy target. (He has a point value of 5 btw) Next i would use a Helmsman to boost the movement to two short movements and that will add another 2 points to the ship total of 14 and and open cargo space if it is needed later in battle.

Ways to counteract it:
The best ways you can take this ship down is either faster warships which will outrange the Grand Mountain in movement, I would use firepots to take the down Grand Mountain aswell. In my person opinion i think sea monsters are effective against Large ships because they can get close without being destroyed ,but the monster will most likely need to be backed up by another ship to finish it off.

Pro's/Con's
Pro's-Six cannons (all 3's and 2's) and four cargo make this ship a good ship for most fleets.

Con's-The movement is just awfull so use a helmsman! Low point cost also limits the crew that can be used.

Artwork and aesthetics:
The ship is pretty plain it doesnt look as good as the temple wind or path but still looks cool.

Overall rating:
I would give this ship a 8 out of 10 for total rating just because of the ok ability and poor movement.

I think this review needs a little bit of work. First of all, the Combos section is probably the most important. Only mentioning generic crew will get you nowhere. What about some of the Jade Reb crew? How about the link?
The fact is that even though Grand Mountain can smash British ships, even with a Helmsman a lot of British ships can just outrun her.
As for the counteracts section, a sub is pretty much useless. Subs ram from underwater, but it is impossible to ram and damage an undamaged 6-mast ship because you need to roll higher than the number of masts. Also, I don't think a Sea Monster is necessarily a counteract.
Also a Helmsman doesn't stack, so using two is a waste of points.

Honestly this review needs a lot of work before I could even give it just a 3. If you are new here take a look at some of the high-rated reviews to see what kind of work needs to be put into them.

If you need something to look at to get an idea on how to do it, just look at my review called Tiger's Eye or even puma's Calim. Those are two that you could get a lot of pointers from.

Yeah, I'm glad that you made some corrections. I honestly wasn't insulting you or your work, and I'm glad you weren't discouraged.
One thing that jumped out at me: Abilities don't stack, so Shap'ng Tsai won't give another plus 1 vs. English ships.
Keep working. Take a look at my Calim review for some pointers
Nice to see new faces onboard here

Would like to see some more practical ideas on how to make a ship with S movement a force to be reckoned with. Whirlpools, navigators, and so on.

Pretty good review, but in the beginning you said with a helmsman or two it would work better. That sounds great but the only thing is you can't use more than one of the same crew on one ship. Other than that, overall good review!
