General description:
One of the things that the Crane symbolizes in traditional Japanese culture is good luck, which is ever so true for this two-masted junk. The Sea Crane's ability to add +1 gold at your home island. It also moves a L+S which is good and fast for getting that treasure.

Uses:
All of this makes the Sea Crane a very effective cargo ship, but its two 3L cannons also make it a good source of firepower for support or fighting another two or weaker three-masted ships.

Strategies and game play:
- Cargo ship strategy
- Support for bigger ships in your fleet
- Defense against opponents smaller ships (1, 2, or 3 masts)

Combos with other miniatures:
Crew

For treasure sweeping
- Explorer
- Jade
- Admiral Zheng Li Kwan
- Helmsman

For support/defense
- Captain
- Musketeer
- Fireworks

Ships

For treasure sweeping
- Sea Serpent
- Sea Wind

Ways to counteract it:
- Ships that can't be hit within L range
- Ships that can destroy two masts at once
- Most ships with three or more masts
- Somewhat easy to derelict/sink

Strengths/Pros:
- +1 gold ability
- S+L speed
- Two 3L cannons
- 9 Point value
- Junk keyword

Weaknesses/Cons:
- Small
- Only 3 cargo

Artwork and aesthetics:
From what I've heard, a lot of people didn't really like the Sea Crane's art, but personally I love it. The green moss, little yellow lanterns and crisp line really add to the design of the Sea Crane.

Overall rating:
8.7/10
I love the Sea Crane's ability, speed, and long range cannons which all prove useful in action. However, if you are planning on using it as an attack ship, there isn't much cargo space for crew.

You've got a few things mixed up there however. Dragon Eyes is a ten point crew, and therefore cannot be used on a nine-point ship due to the point limit rule. With only nine points, it's usually best to use generic crew if you have them.

As to your overall argument, I agree. The Sea Crane is a decent ship, with a good base move, and a nice gold oriented ability. Not a bad start. I feel that you could go a little more in-depth with the combo section.

P.S. is this your first review?
