Fleet "HMS GT"

My version of an HMS Grand Temple fleet, which was created for a tournament on VASSAL, and based off a 200 point game set-up of mine.

The UT's included should slow down any gold runners out there, even if they're mine. The GT should be able to capture several crew worth gold via Bonny.

Mentored by Calico Cat, Bonny Peel saw her opportunity to command when the Cat mysteriously disappeared. Tough on her crew, she’s rumored to be kind to those she captures, sometimes even ransoming them back for nothing more than the right to dock at their ports.

Link: Myngs' Marauders

Myngs was sent to the Spanish Main to remove the Spanish, but without sufficient forces to do the job. To solve this problem, Myngs pioneered the use of buccaneers to fill the gaps in his fleet. He personally led the largest of these combined fleets to victory against the Spanish, and later against the Dutch, until Governor Lynch put an end to what he viewed as a "despicable" practice.

I think this fleet would be better with a re-roll on the Temple. At the time I made this I didn't know that the English HAD a 0-LR re-roller. I think I might make another GT fleet, based on the same concept as this one, but perhaps make it for 50 points instead of 40. I'll probably post that fleet after the Fleet Challenge though.

That makes sense... you could take out Jocard as well as the helmsman and oarsman on the Longshanks. It would also be cool since if Myngs didn't need the reroll, it would work well either for Bonny's boarding party or perhaps a cannon.

Staying strictly within 40 points, yeah, Jocard and the Cry itself might drop out of the fleet and I might focus more points on better equipping the Longshanks or the HMS Nautilus, which while more expensive, has more accurate cannons.

Going to 50 points, I might try to fit or try some different angles, such as using an S-Boarder on the Temple.
