This is an updated version of Coagulation of Nations. The main reason I'm making a new post for this version is because the original was built for a fleet challenge and I want to preserve its original form.

The first change is the name: back when I first named the fleet I didn't realize what coagulation actually meant (basically the solidifying of blood), but I was going for word-play and it sounded cool (two years later, it doesn't sound as good).

The next change is the addition of Vicomte Jules de Cissey on Arrogant to allow 5 more points to play with, which in turn will add a sixth ship, Le Coeur du Lion, with a Navigator, as well as giving an Explorer to Bloody Jewel.

It's a real shame I didn't think to use a 0LR+5 back during the Small Fry Challenge because the additional pieces might have really helped boost my score in certain areas.

Miniature text:

Limit, Ransom. Place this crew face up during setup. You may build your fleet using 5 more points than the build total. This crew cannot leave this ship unless it is captured or eliminated.

Not everyone who wears a fancy uniform deserves it - especially not Vicomte Jules de Cissey. Every inch the powdered puppy, his shrill demands and pretentious behavior make him generally disliked by all who meet him. He is, however, a vicomte with means, so he continues to receive his social due, though this presence adds no luster to events.

I think this fleet would do fine in most standard games. The lack of durability and extra actions can prevent it from being highly competitive, but it's a fantastic build that showcases some of the best small ships in the game. It's also impressive that you were able to make it effective using lesser-known ships like the Maryland and Arrogant rather than the Banshee's Cry, Mermaid, etc.

With the way it performed in my game against a7xfanben, I'm satisfied with this fleet. While it's not top-tier, I think it can hold its own.
