I haven't played a great many of larger games, but with my recent acquisition of a few things I'd like to try this fleet out!
4 ships, 1 fort, 75 points
I was considering using the Banshee's cry as a runner, with Dark Hawk II as an escort, and Revanant and Golden Medusa as hunters. The Devil's Maw added to the mix might help with some map control.
Is quality or quantity better for a 75-scale game? Any advice to be thrown my way for this fleet?

You've got some interesting crew setups here. I'd rather have a helmsman and oarsman on the Golden Medusa if she's going to catch enemy ships and potentially steal coins from HI's. Reroll is great, but it takes up a valuable cargo space (might want more than one coin) and isn't really serving a big purpose like rerolling for EA/SAT/etc. Calico Cat on the BC is also interesting, since that's not something you usually see. I like the idea (and it partially "excuses" the use of the OP ship), but SAT doesn't always work great on gold runners since without an explorer, you might get the roll at the "wrong" time and have it when you need an extra action instead. (such as when you're within docking distance of an island with one move action, but can move twice when you don't need to - or, you're exploring the island next turn, but certainly don't need to explore it twice)

Overall it's a good fleet. Quality is usually better than quantity, assuming you mean crew setup quality? Ships often need at least one crew to be effective, and gunships like more. In this case I think you've done pretty well in that regard, it's just that the setups on the GM and BC feel slightly disjointed considering their roles and what they'll be doing.
